The VFW Post 2714 and Auxiliary are once again this year planning to hand out scholarships to the eligible high school seniors in Gibson County. Attached is the application with eligibility criteria for this year's scholarships.
We are unable to set amounts at this time as we have fund raising efforts underway to try to reach as many students as possible as we have in past years.  I know that some participate in Dollars for Scholars but we do not wish for our funds to go to that program but direct to the students.  In order to reach as many students as  possible we are hoping that you can all post our application and criteria on your websites for the senior to complete.  The scholarship is open to those who wish to continue their education in trade and vocational schools as well as those attending 2 & 4-year schools.
All students should return their applications to this email address ([email protected]) by April 1, 2023 in order to be eligible.
