Dear Wood Memorial Jr/Sr. High Students and Parents/Guardians,
After a year of unknowns, I look forward to a year where we are diligent about safety but also head toward some normalcy. My passion for educating children has been shaped over the past twenty years in Spencer,Vanderburgh, and Gibson counties as a social studies teacher, football coach, assistant principal, principal, director of student services ,chief leadership strategist, and most recently as superintendent of East Gibson School Corporation. In each position it has always been my goal to provide every child who walks through the door with an opportunity to learn and participate in extracurricular activities in a school with a culture and climate that promotes excellence.
A well rounded education means rigorous academic instruction from top-notch teachers as well as opportunities outside the classroom for students to develop character and cultivate passions. Most importantly, an excellent education is a collaboration between students, parents and staff. With hard work and enthusiasm, I hope to become an integral part of the community, working together with all of you to carry on old traditions and create new possibilities for the students at East Gibson Schools.
